After the discovery and use of the X-rays for treatment and diagnosis of the tumor, they have been standoff for investigation of newer treatments which are used in cancer care. This significant change in the treatment of tumor cells took place around the ’40s of the 20th century, with the sudden and accidental discovery of the first DNA alkylating agent.
