Track: 04 Metabolism
Cancer metabolism is the difference between cancer cells and most normal tissue cells in terms of cellular metabolism pathways. Aerobic glycolysis, decreased oxidative phosphorylation, and enhanced synthesis of biosynthetic intermediates required for cell growth and proliferation are just a few of the metabolic changes seen in cancer cells.
One method of destroying cancer cells is to starve them to death by giving them nutrition, particularly glucose. Researchers believe that figuring out how cancer cells get and utilise fuel will lead to the creation of novel medicines. The link between fat and cancer, as well as how the body's metabolism may promote tumour growth, are also being studied.

Track: 05 Cell Signaling and Regulation
Modulation of signaling pathways impacts cells' ability to respond effectively to extracellular inputs. Cell-to-cell signaling can be influenced by affecting the quantity and/or activity of functional receptors on their surfaces.
Cell growth and other cellular functions are regulated by a complicated network of signals. Many diseases, including cancer, can develop when this communication system goes awry and messages aren't effectively delivered or processed. Experts in molecular, cellular, structural, and developmental biology are among the cell signalling and regulatory researchers.

Track: 06 Chemical Biology and Developmental Biology
Chemical biology is the study and manipulation of biological systems using chemical instruments. Small compounds are designed and deployed by our experts to examine and target certain cellular processes, either blocking or enhancing the actions of proteins and other molecules. This allows us to better understand these pathways and establish the framework for the development of disease-slowing or disease-reversing medications.
The processes by which a fertilised egg's single cell grows and develops into a mature animal are studied in developmental biology. Scientists employ a variety of experimental approaches to learn about the genetic cues that lead cells to differentiate into specialised tissues and organs, how this process influences regeneration and ageing, and how cancer is caused by disturbance of normal development.

Track: 10 Stem cells
Cancer stem cells are cancer cells (found in tumours or haematological malignancies) that have features similar to normal stem cells, such as the ability to produce all cell types observed in a cancer sample. In contrast to other non-tumorigenic cancer cells, CSCs are tumorigenic (may cause tumours).
The field of stem cell research is filled with possibilities for medical advancement. Researchers are exploring the use of embryonic or induced pluripotent stem cells in the development of medicines and disease models. They also look at fundamental concepts like stem-cell pluripotency and self-renewal, as well as stem cells in the context of both normal and malignant development.

Track: 15 Epidemiology Statistics and Health Outcomes
Epidemiology is a tool for determining whether diseases or injuries are caused by particular factors. Patients are evaluated as a whole in epidemiology, where communities are viewed as patients. Epidemiology is a scientific, methodical, and data-driven investigation of the distribution and determinants (causes, risk factors) of health-related states and events (not just diseases) in defined populations.
By combining epidemiology, statistics, and outcomes research, we are able to better understand cancer's causes while also developing better methods for diagnosing, treating, and preventing the disease. Research studies on cancer risk, care delivery, and how to improve clinical research benefit from the expertise of multidisciplinary teams.
