Imaging is a technique for creating images of the inside of your body. It can aid in the detection of cancers and other abnormalities, as well as determining the extent of disease and determining if treatment is effective. Biopsies and other surgical procedures may also be performed using imaging.
The use of imaging tools such as PET/CT, MRI, and live microscopy to watch and evaluate biological processes over time has been pioneered by researchers. They employ these technologies to enhance laboratory investigations into the root causes of cancer and to develop creative techniques to improve detection and treatment by emphasising living cells or tissues with specialised chemicals.
